The 8 Immortals (चिरंजीवी / Chiranjeevi ) as per Hindu History !

Whoever is born is sure to die. Even in the Srimad Bhagabat Gita, Bhagaban Sri Krishna also gave this knowledge to Arjuna that "Only the soul is immortal, and it holds different bodies for a certain time, the body is mortal." But according to Hindu history and mythology, there are Eight such people who are immortal / Chiranjeevi. All this is bound by some word, rule or curse and it is endowed with all divine powers. The Ashta Siddhis mentioned in Yoga have all the powers in them.

That is, by remembering these eight people (Ashwathama, Daityaraja Bali, Ved Vyas, Hanuman, Vibhishana, Kripacharya, Parashurama and Markandeya Rishi) in the morning, all diseases end and man attains the age of 100 years. On the basis of ancient beliefs, if a person takes the names of these eight immortal people (Ashta Chiranjeevi) every day, then his life is long.

Ashwatthama-

Ashwatthama is the son of Guru Dronacharya, who is still wandering the earth for his salvation. According to the Mahabharata, the Ashwatthama period was an integral part of anger, yama and Lord Shiva. When there was war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas in Dwaparyuga, Ashwatthama sided with the Kauravas. Ashwatthama was a very strong, fierce-tempered warrior. According to religious texts, it was Lord Krishna who cursed Ashwatthama for wandering on the earth for a long time due to his crimes.
The popular belief regarding Ashwatham is a fort 20 km from the city of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh. It is called the fort of Asirgarh. This fort has an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Local residents say that Ashwatthama comes to this temple every day to worship Lord Shiva, So he can get salvation.

The sage is also Ashta Chiranjeevi and he edited the four Vedas (Rigveda, Atharvaveda, Samaveda and Yajurveda). Also, he also composed all 18 Puranas. The Mahabharata and the Srimad Bhagavat Gita have also been composed by Veda Vyasa.

Mata Sita blessed Hanuman after hearing Rama's message at Ashoka Vatika in Lanka that he would remain ajar-immortal. Azar-Amar means one who will never die and will never grow old. For this reason, Lord Hanuman has always been considered a source of power because he is an incest.

Lord Parasurama -

Parashurama is the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Parashurama's father was Rishi Jamadagni and mother Renuka. He was born on Tritiya of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month according to Hindi Panchang. Therefore, Tritiya which falls on the Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month is called Akshaya Tritiya. Parshuram's birth time is believed to be in the treaty of Satyuga and Treta. Parashurama killed all the Kshatriya kings from the earth 21 times. Parashurama's initial name was Rama. Rama did harsh penance to please Shiva. Shiva was pleased with penance and gave Rama his fursa (a weapon). This is why Ram started being called Parashuram.

Vibhishan -

Vibhishan is the younger brother of the demon king Ravana. Vibhishan is an exclusive devotee of Shri Ram. When Ravana had killed Mother Sita, Vibhishana had explained to Ravana not to enmity with Rama. On this matter Ravana expelled Vibhishana from Lanka. Vibhishan went to the service of Shri Ram and supported religion in eradicating Ravana's iniquity.

Kripacharya

The Eight Things That Prevent You From Being A True Devotee !

You want to do good devotion, but because of these eight defects God is not attained, so stay away from them.

1. Laziness - Due to sleep, laziness and bliss, you will not be able to attain devotion by being tamoguni.

2. Luxury - Being unholy due to fun, artificial nature and Rajoguni nature desiring a luxurious life, you cannot become a devotee.

3. The Desire for Fame - It is true that due to the devotion of Lord, Kirtan, blessings of Guru, natural fame increases, but if there is a lot of fame in the mind, arrogance, arrogance will come, it reduces solitary devotion, you are extroverted. You will go, hypocrisy will come in you and this is the reason for the fall. The true devotee never wants fame, he is only dependent on God. Therefore, one should remain in seclusion or in the company of devotees, so that one can remain a fixed distance from the praise and undesirable service of outsider. If you do devotion for the purpose of getting your name, fame, your worship, your respect then you collapse.

4. Lust of Praise (Maan Barahani) - It is very sweet poison, it feels so good when someone praises, praises you, you are called a pure, brilliant devotee, it is like a very sweet knife , So that we can destroy our inner satvik feelings. They do this, it eliminates our mercy, it is through mercy that God makes us feel like a pure devotee, so one must be very careful and respectful. Honor should be treated as a poison and stay away from insults committed by inferior men, and at all times, every moment, you should keep thinking about the names of Lord Krishna and pray to him not to crave glory Mind should come and do not stay away from you even for a moment.

5. Thinking of yourself as the best - When the feeling of Gurupan starts coming in myself, I know everything, I know everything, I am the most knowledgeable, the best, just here the seeker begins to degenerate. Pride is a big flaw in itself, when it comes, you are not worthy of devotion to Bhagwat, thinking of yourself as perfect, feeling of superiority is a loss in itself, then you have fallen.

6. Exterior show - To show yourself attracted, special dress, look, decoration, which attracts people, it should not be. A pure devotee should, according to the Guru-disciple tradition, wear simplicity. The necklace, tulsi garland, tilak, dhoti, or other signs should not be worn with pretense. We wear Tilak, Kanthi for the servitude of God, but thinking that doing so will bring honor, it is wrong, thus the fall of the seeker is also certain. Misdeeds from inside, fraud, hypocrisy or hatred against other devotees and pretending to be a simplistic true Vaishnav from above are crimes. All of this is going to harm charity, it should be avoided.

7. Fault in Others (Pardosh Chintan) - When seekers start looking for the faults of others, finding their shortcomings, we do bhajan, kirtan, do nothing at all, do not do devotion at all, they pretend, Things cause collapse. Seeing the faults of others, discussing the faults of others, contemplating the faults of others is a matter of great loss. One should avoid Pardosh Darshan, Pardosh Dhyan, Pardosh Darshan because no matter how big a devotee is, if he does this, then the same qualities start to develop in him.

8. Tactuality or physical attachment in worldly tasks - A lovable devotee needs to maintain his work as much as he needs, to be absorbed in various types of work is a hindrance in devotion. The goal of the devotee should be to remember the Lord regularly and to do scriptural restrained work so that the earning of livelihood will be regular. Therefore, one should avoid physical discussions and attachments.

7 Signs Humans show Before Death as per Shiva Purana

Every living creature has to go through this earth one day or the other. It means if there is a certainty in our life, that is death. But the biggest irony is that man never accepts this truth and thinks that death will come someday accidentally. But this is not true, a few days before the arrival of death, the person starts seeing its symptoms. But due to incapacity, man cannot understand the signs of death.

In the Shiva Purana, in the Uma Samhita, Lord Shiva tells Goddess Parvati about some signs of coming to death.

1. Lord Shiva states that "If a person is near to death and is on the bed due to some illness, then that person wishes to meet his whole family repeatedly. So that person can see everyone at least once before death."

2. A person who is surrounded by a vulture or crow and sees a rainbow in the night and a meteor in the day, then it's a sign the maximum age of that person is 6 months.

3. If a vulture, crow or pigeon sits on the head of a human by itself, it's a sign that person will die within 1 month.

4. If a person does not see his shadow in water, oil, ghee or mirror for some time, then he should understand that his life is left at most 6 months. And if a person can't find his shadow, then this is a sign of his death within a month.

5. If a person's body suddenly starts to turn yellow or white and looks red from above, then there is an indication that the death of that man is going to happen within next 6 to 12 months.

6. If a person who does not know the directions even while looking at the planets and has restlessness in his mind, then that person dies within 6 months.
